Illeagle Presents: Volume 3

Another successful show!  Apologies to all those who were waiting in line and unable to get in.  The night kicked off with the ever-endearing Alli Sunshine with her Carol King inspired pop-soul songs.  With a killer backing band, bang-on back up singers and Alli holding down the ivories, it was a heart-warming way to start the evening.  Next up, the dance rock of FORCES got the heads banging and the feet swaying. Fronted by Jessica Grassia (The Golden Dogs) this rag-tag crew delivers tight harmonies, funky beats and tasty treats!  Next up, long-time Illeagle member Taylor Knox hit the stage.  Sporting a new drummer (who happens to be Carlin Nicholson, Illeagle head-engineer and member of ZEUS), a sweet new axe and a ball of energy bass player (Aaron Harvey), the three-piece was loud, beautiful and inspiring.  Taylor Knox is about as good as a rock guitar player as you can get. Headlining the night was loooooong-time Illeagle friend and supporter Jason Collet.  He delivered a classic set of hits backed up by none other than the talented boys from Zeus and Afie Jurvanen (aka Bahamas).  The packed house was riveted and left wanting more.   Finally - the covers set!!  This show's theme was 1971 - not an easy feat!  All musicians from the night, plus so so many more, played a role.  As always, the "musical chair" style of the covers set keeps everyone (including the audience) on their toes.  Smiles, cheers, sing-alongs and many a guitar solo ensued until last call.  Highlights from the 1971set included: Bang a Gong (T.Rex), Life on Mars (Bowie), Misty Mountain Top (Zepplin), Ain't No Sunshine (Bill Withers), I Feel the Earth Move (Carol King), Natural Woman (Carol King/Aretha Franklin), Brown Sugar (Rolling Stones), Heart of the Country (McCartney) and Downtown (Neil Young)!
